Colorado School of Mines is a public research university focused on science and engineering, with a strong emphasis on issues related to the Earth, energy and the environment.
The university's core values are very attractive to international students: inquiry and innovation, inspiration, challenge, openness, respect, diversity, compassion and collaboration.
In fact, in 2020, students from 80 different countries were enrolled in 70 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, and 8.7% of students are international. SAT/ACT scores are not required for international students (unless you plan to participate in NCAA sports), and you can prove English language proficiency by taking one of many different exams, such as the Duolingo test, the TOEFL, the IELTS, and others.
