DUKE UNIVERSITY

Located in Durham, in North Carolina, Duke University is ranked 20th as a World University and 5th in US Colleges. As a research university, Duke consistently and significantly contributes to present solutions to community and world concerns, has world-class arts programs, and is a NCAA Division I school featuring 27 teams . University-wide institutes, initiatives and centers span the sciences - from brain sciences to ethics.

Undergraduate degrees cover innumerable academic fields - there really is an academic degree for everyone in each of the following schools:

  1. Trinity College of Arts & Sciences;

  2. Pratt School of Engineering;

  3. Nicholas School of the Environment;

  4. Sanford School of Public Policy;

  5. Duke Kunshan University* - which is the Duke campus in China, and has its own application process through the Common Application.

The social scene is vibrant - much in the "play hard, party hard" motto - and the weather is mild for the northern hemisphere.

Duke offers many study abroad programs all over the world, including a four-week experiential program in Rio de Janeiro (suspended during the pandemic).

Graduate degrees at Duke University can be obtained in the famous Fuqua School of Business, the Pratt School of Engineering, the School of Law, the School of Medicine, the Sanford School of Public Policy and the School of Nursing. Graduate programs are also available in the Divinity School and the Nicholas School of the Environment, the youngest school in the University.

* "Duke Kunshan is a Sino-U.S. partnership established by Duke University, Wuhan University and Kunshan city to create a world-class liberal arts and research university offering a range of academic programs for students from China and throughout the world. Duke Kunshan is a nonprofit, joint-venture institution that was granted accreditation approval by China’s Ministry of Education in September 2013".

I hope you enjoy these two pictures of campus! They are from my personal archive.
